Forum members only! A great first piece for an inspiring collector or fish them!

I have acquired a ton of Luhr Jensen Needlefish spoon blades (left in picture) and added the appropriate size hardware to finish them. The finish is thin hammered chrome/brass- still bright and no corrosion! Very desireable size among the old-timers and collectors...

If you're not familiar with these spoons, this style was a favorite of early commercial and sports anglers here in the Northwest. The ...

Had another good day on the water. Sunrise was great and the weather cooporated with no wind and no rain but was a bit on the chilly side.

Took out 4 other guys and did more crabbing than fishing. Trolled at Lyle Pt during the morning slack without a bite. In two sets we were able to get our 25 crabs. Brought the propane heater and was well worth the deck space. Thought about chasing some chums around but decided with how cold it was to head in and watch the husky game. Too bad on ...

I would like to replace the siwash hooks on some plugs and Superior #7 spoons with Matzuo siwash sickle hooks. I just ran across a stash of some of the Superiors I had custom painted for winter Kings by Marilyn at Silver Horde back in the 90s. This past spring and summer I had excellent results in hooking and holding fish on octopus-style sickle hooks I tied on herring leaders and siwash hooks on spoons. I would like to replace my Mustad siwash hooks on some plugs and these large spoons to ...

MEMBERS:

I was wondering if anyone has noticed if it makes a difference as to which side of a spoon you should put scent on. Some spoons have golw paint on one side and uv paint on the other and some spoons are painted on one side, but are nickle on the other. There must be an advantage to putting sent on one side or the other. Also is paste better than liquid scent on spoons&hootchies? Not sure.It might be best to put paste scent on the flasher, hooks, and leader only and not get any on ...

I had an invite to fish with board member DEANO in the SNO-KING PSA Member's Only Blackmouth Derby.. Despite the constant pounding of swells and wind chop, we managed to catch fish all day long.

I didn't hear the final results, but second place was over 10#.. A lot of fish caught. In fact some 77-fish were reported at the ramp.

Dean and I both fished spoons all day. Some behind flasher others behind a "plug flasher."

I had to be towed off lake as it would not restart and the kicker was not getting gas from main tank.

Local boat shop had overhauled both motors less than 6 months ago. The boat had been back out on the water 6 times since overhaul. Previous owner has spoken with boat shop. Shop is doing a diagnostic and thinks ...

Hi Captain,

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your presentaion this evening at the Eastside PSA meeting.

I hope I can meet someone with an empty seat so I will be able to get out and do some fishing soon. I do not have a setup for fishing out on the sound at this time. Also things have changed since the days of me fishing with my grandfather. I am glad I had those days.

Hope to catch more of your talks in the future.

Thanks again,
