I have a rod from my Grandfather, believe it to be circa 1950 or so.

It's a 8'3" salmon rod, 16" corked butt, SS/alum reel seat, 2" spin reel guides wrapped in green on what looks to be brown phenolic rod stock, green/white label with fish symbol, topic subject words inside of fish, handwritten next to label is "4804 - 8' 3" "

Any of you have knowledge about this rod?

Cheers All,

Going through my tackle room I found a forgotten container of Hardy Flies. These are original hand tied flies and were only made for a couple of years in the 1960's. The Hardy book shows them in detail.

The flies are in original containers and I have about 300 or so. Looking for offers on either all or in lots of one dozen.

I will get some pictures up as soon as possible.
