Let's have some fun seeing how river fishing is gaining ground with most anglers during this time of year... If you didn't know, I used to tie A LOT OF FLIES... I made a pretty good "fun money" living at it... I tied for various local shops, Dan Bailey's and Cabelas years ago... There's nothing different other than the jig itself... All the steps are the same- just a little easier...

The first step is knocking off any paint from in and around the jig eye. Use a finger ...

I’m looking for some Lake Washington fishing advice. I live fairly close to Lake WA and I was just out there yesterday in my boat. I am looking for some advice on fishing Lake WA and the setups that people use to put fish in the boat. Yesterday I watched a guy catch 3 Cutts in the same area I was in (south tip of Mercer Island) while I could not get anything to take. I launch out of Gene Coulon Park at the south end of the lake.

This winter my boat is getting used more than last year. ...

Not many fish caught but the ones that were are chrome bright. Not alot of pressure down there another 2 weeks or so and it should be loaded. FYI... Lots of fish throughout the water column in and around Ike Kinswa State Park (by the way really nice little boat launch there...$7.00 fee though). I fished the inside portion of the bridge on the Tilton Arm trolling between 1.4 and 1.9 mph. Figured out that like most lakes around here where people swear by pop gear, cow bells or ford fenders (that's all I've heard my whole ...

Arrived at the Cowlitz and fished the area where the Toutle merges in. Had some luck tossing small orange corkies with a 1 ounce slip sinker, rigged with a two way swivel. Saw quite a few silvers caught amongst the group of 20 or so. Just before dark fish were everywhere. I was told they were having alot of luck fishing at night with glow corkies. This was the first time I fished this area and the 2 hour drive on top of the 30 minute hike was well worth it.

He had to release them but they were still nice fish. My other buddy caught a nice jack so at least we got to leave with a fish. We've caught some nice sea-run cuts as well. We've been just trolling orange vibrax's...sometimes behind a flasher, sometimes jsut the lure (that seems to work well). Yesterday was a bust but ...
