It was a great day! Headed out with South Sounder and his dad. Started at Green and worked our way around the island. Nailed all the fish, but one at Green- one shaker came from Gibson. A lot of borderline shakers at 21" to 21 3/4" Hot spoon was the Acid Bath trolled down along the bottom in 100-feet plus. Two are already for the BBQ!

I do have to take some credit for driving the boat I had us on fish all day !! No seriously John thoroughly embarassed me yesterday. He kicked my butt royal. Pretty bad when you are using one of the sought after CDR spoons and you still get out fished. John you did forget to mention that my dad hooked a nice silver about 6 pounds and lost it after one jump. Thanks again for getting out with us John, its only right after putting us into some huge blackmouth last time. My id picture with the 14 and 12 credit to John. I will be requesting a rematch for the Green Point Derby in December, Me and my dad will have our gamefaces on and may the best man win. South Sounder

Sweet! Glad to see you got some John. Must have been an awsome day for you all. I was wondering John, if any consideration has been given to fishing on the 20th of December. I don't fish on sundays if I can get away from it. Any chance of having the Fox Island gettogether on Sat. the 19th. Just curious. I may have to come up on that day just to get out on the water. Thanks for the report. Denny

Nicely done! Are you purposely hiding that leader length under the fish?

Hi John. Hope you've been able to find the time to get out to wet a line. Our son Chris, and I are planning on coming up to fish Green Pt. on the 19th of Dec. We are unsure if it's legal to keep blackmouth that aren't clipped. Do you happen to know what is the ruling on this? We don't want to keep something we shouldn't. Thanks Denny

CHINOOK - min. size 22". Other SALMON species - no min. size. Daily limit 2 (combined). Only 1 CHINOOK may be retained.
You can keep non-clipped fish! |

John: Thanks for the info. I thought that was the case, but wasn't sure. Hopefully I'll be able to get up your way for some blackmouth fishin before the middle of Dec. We got back from Sprague lake a couple weeks ago. Fishin with the Draggon nymph was pretty good. Pllan on going back in May. I'll try sending a picture of one of the trout we caught, but I'm not exactly sure of how to do it. Take care. Hope you do well in the derby tomorrow. Denny
