Very strange, none even rolling/jumping... Very few fishermen too, 3 on the shore about 5 or 6 boats within the narrows fishing all morning. Is there something I should know? Nets from pt. D to gig harbor or something...

I trolled the shoreline for 6 hrs on friday launching out of olalla and fishing anderson pt to the mouth of gig harbor and did not see 1 coho jump. sad
Fished Minter yesterday and me and my buddy landed about 20-25 cutthroat all between 12-16 inches. We were both using tube jigs and the fish were there.

What does a tube jig look like? fished below a float?
I usually troll needlesfish or a canadian wonder behind a slit shot and have done well on the trout up to 4 lbs with the occasional coho on light gear which is really fun. Have done best around Fox island or penrose point. Will try Minter though next. I bet the larger cuttroat have ended up in nets at minter though which is sad.

A tube jig is a bass lure , you take 1/8 ounce jig head and slide the body over it. My favorite patterns are pink and green rainbow. It covers the jighead and has tentacles that hang down about an inch. You cast it out and reel about two to three times and give it a light twitch. Works great on silvers too. I've got most of my cutts off shore with this setup. Herring strips would be my #1.
