Been curious how the newish Alder Lake Kokanee fishery is taking plant this past spring and summer?
I've heard the koke's were on the smallish side summer of '08, but have not heard anything about the fisher in '09 whatsoever. With the way S Sound king fishing was this year, I think I should have start kokanee fishing!

Any fishing recaps out there from you crazy koke fiends?

I haven't fish Alder in years.. It seems the Kokes are always small. For such a large lake and plenty of feed one would think there are monsters in there.

speaking of monsters. One thing does intrigue me... Have you ever seen the large arches on your sonar in the deep water? No one seems to know what type of fish they are. I keep telling myself one day I am going to target those "big arches."

Could be sturgeon, landlock chinook, or lakers. However, if they were lakers or nookies it would seem that someone would have caught one by now.

Any guesses?
